Success Case 9

Visa Type: Student Visa (subclass 500)

Approval Date: March 7th, 2023

Applicant: Ms Tang

Key Points: After her initial application was rejected, the second application was successful. Ms Tang was granted a subclass 500 Student visa, going on to study at RMIT School of Design.

Ms Tang had long been interested in pursuing a design major in Australia. After looking into various options, she decided to pursue a postgraduate degree in design at RMIT University. However, she soon faced the challenge of how to successfully apply for a subclass 500 Student visa.

She familiarised herself with the basic process and requirements of applying for the 500 visa online and in consultation with the school's international admissions department. However, she still came away confused and uncertain. So she decided to enlist the help of an Australian immigration consultant to ensure that her visa application can go smoothly.

A friend of Ms. Tang referred her to Edu Pathways and she made an appointment. Edu Pathways was very familiar with the requirements and application process of the subclass 500 visa and was able to explain all the details and potential issues to Ms Tang. Unfortunately, a few weeks after submitting the application, Ms Tang was notified that her application had been rejected.

However, just because her initial application was unsuccessful, Edu Pathways did not give up. Edu Pathways’ consultants helped Ms Tang identify the problem and worked with her to revise her application. After re-preparing documents and materials, and revising the application form, Ms Tang resubmitted the application. After a lengthy wait, Ms Tang successfully obtained a subclass 500 Student visa.
